Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data PCL Enviro Ltd ("we", "us") collects when you use this website, make an enquiry or place an order, how we use it, and the rights you have over it under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
1. Who we are
PCL Enviro Ltd is the controller of the personal data described in this policy.
- PCL Enviro Ltd, a company registered in Northern Ireland.
- Email: liam@pclenviro.com
- Phone: +44 7716 682576
2. The data we collect
- Enquiries and quote requests: your name, email address, and any phone number, company name, service of interest and message you give us through our contact or quote forms.
- Orders: when you buy from our solar shop, payment is taken on a secure checkout page run by Square. Square collects your name, email address, phone number, delivery address and payment details, and shares your order and contact details with us so we can fulfil your order. We never see or store your full card details.
- Your shopping cart: the items in your cart are stored in a cookie on your device (see section 7).
- Technical data: like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, which we use to keep the site secure and working.
3. How we use your data, and our legal basis
- To reply to your enquiry or prepare a quote — because you have asked us to (steps prior to entering a contract) and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
- To process, deliver and support your order, including handling returns and warranty queries — to perform our contract with you.
- To keep accounting and tax records — to comply with our legal obligations.
- To run, secure and improve our website — our legitimate interest in operating a safe, working website.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for marketing without your consent.
4. Who we share it with
We only share your data with service providers who help us run our business, and only as far as they need it:
- Square — payment processing and order management.
- Mailgun — delivers the messages you send through our website forms to our inbox (processed in the EU).
- Heroku (Salesforce) — hosts this website.
- Google Fonts — supplies the fonts used on this website, which means your browser shares your IP address with Google when pages load.
- Delivery carriers — where an order is not delivered by our own vehicle, we share your name, delivery address and phone number with the carrier.
We may also disclose data where the law requires it, for example to HMRC or the police.
5. International transfers
Some of our providers (such as Square, Heroku and Google) may process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, the transfer is protected by safeguards recognised under UK law, such as the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement.
6. How long we keep it
- Enquiries: for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any follow-up, and no longer than 2 years after our last contact unless you become a customer.
- Orders: 6 years from the end of the financial year in which the order was placed, as required for tax and accounting purposes.
- Cart cookie: up to 7 days, or until you complete your order.
7. Cookies
We use one strictly necessary cookie, named session, to remember the contents of your cart and to keep your order secure through checkout. The site cannot work without it, so it does not require your consent. It expires after 7 days. Square sets its own cookies on its checkout pages, which are covered by Square's privacy notice.
8. Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- ask us to delete your data, where we no longer have a lawful reason to keep it;
- object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use your data;
- ask for data you gave us to be transferred to you or another organisation.
To use any of these rights, email liam@pclenviro.com. We will respond within one month. There is no charge in most cases.
9. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated at the top.
